Chautemsia is a monotypic genus native to Minas Gerais State, Brazil. It is named after Swiss botanist Alain Chautems. Chautemsia is a member of the rhizomatous group of plants (the Gloxiniinae). Chautemsia calcicola is the only species in the genus.
