Reldia

Reldia is a small genus of about seven species, distributed in Central America and adjacent parts of South America. It is a relatively small herb, characteristically present in warm and humid environments. Members of the genus are characterized by possessing alternate leaves, a rare arrangement in the Gesneriaceae. Flowers are generally small and white, occasionally yellow or shaded lavender.
