Achimenes cupreata

Now known as Episcia cupreata, this species has been the primary source of the myriad Episcia hybrids, most displaying beautifully colored leaves. This Curtis print was the first publication of the species, and was quickly copied with an almost-identical (mirror image) version published in Van Houtte, 1847 and another beauty by Gand-Morren in the same year.
