This print appeared in the same year in the same publication in a mirrored form, suggesting that the original plate had to be replaced and copied.
Using the zoom function, you can see tiny red dots in lines in the flowers, applied by the hand colorist. These kinds of dotted lines do in fact exist in some forms of this species, as can be seen in one of the slideshow images here.
