Sciadocalyx warszewiczii

This print was published some 16 years before the one here, but shows a plant significantly different than the K. warszewiczii known today. The later print has flowers with a clear green spotted face, almost identical to the plants grown today as this species. The image above, however, has virtually no green in the flower, although otherwise seems quite consistent with the modern plant material. Perhaps the species is quite variable.
