Columnea ‘Dragon Fire’ is a venerable old hybrid from Lyndon Lyon, introduced around 1977. Its background includes C. magnifica, C. gloriosa and C. arguta. The feature plant above was shown at the 2013 convention of the African Violet Society of America.
A nicely manageable trailing plant, it can produce tremendous flushes of bloom, especially in the fall.
