This species is one of the first of the former Chirita species, transferred to Damrongia, to enter cultivation. The particular species name is as yet unknown.
The leaves are velvety soft on the surface but quite hard and brittle. It has not yet bloomed for this grower, and may not have bloomed yet in cultivation anywhere.
