Sphaerorrhiza burchellii was previously known as Achimenes burchellii and Gloxinia burchellii. It occurs in Brazil’s Tocantin State. The leaves and small flowers are arranged along the stem. The flowers have purple tubes and large purple spots on the white lobes.
