This species occurs on Mount Ibity in the central Madagascan highlands. It inhabits rock clefts and small caves under rocks and captures moisture from mist by means of the hairs on its leaves. It possesses a typical small open tube-shaped white flower and twisted seed capsules. The species is not in cultivation but as a miniature species has definite horticultural potential.
Like a number of other Madagascan species, this is a fairly small plant, up to 10 cm across with leaves at their widest about 2 cm across.
