Exhibited at the 2025 Convention show of The Gesneriad Society, S. linguatus is a member of Streptocarpus subgenus Streptocarpella, Section Hova. It is a small plant that grows in the wet tropical biome.
Like all members of Section Hova, S. linguatus hails from Madagascar.
