Michaelmoelleria is a newly described (2020) genus, named in honor of the botanist Michael Möller, an expert on the Gesneriaceae at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. It is endemic to southern Vietnam, under broad-leaved forests in montane granite hills.
This genus contains a single species, Michaelmoelleria vietnamensis.
