In the present paper, the chromosome numbers of the species of Gesneriaceae from Yunnan, China are reported for the first time. The results are formulated as follows: in Aeschynanthus bracteatus, a population of A. buxifolius, Hemiboea cavaleriei, Lysionotus pauciflorus and Petrocosmea barfata, 2n=32; in Chirita dielsii, Ch.macrophylla, Ch.speciosa 2n=18; in Oreocharis aurea, 2n=34; in in Corralodiscus flabellatus 2n=40; a tetraploidy chromosome number(2n=64) was also found in another population of A. buxifolius.
