In this paper,the chromosome numbers of 4 species in Gesneriaceae from Guangxi are reported for the first time. The results are formulated as follows: Metabriggsia ovalifolia 2n = 24;Pseudochirita guangxiensis 2n = 28; Didymocarpus hancei 2n = 20; Chirita longgangensis 2n = 28. The chromosomes of the four species are small in size.
