Cincinnobotrys ranarum Pocs (Melastomataceae) and Streptocarpus burttianus Pocs (Gesneriaceae) are described as new species from the upland rainforests of the Nguru Mountains in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania. These mountains are notorius for their richess in endemic and relic species, which are members of the Precambrian crystaline ‘Eastern Are’ mountain chain of Tanzania. Additionally, a new nothospecies Cincinnobotrys oreophila Gilg. x C. ranarum Pocs is distinguished.
