Streptocarpus ionanthus ssp. rupicolus is a diverse subspecies from Kenya with many clones. Some are very large growers. Leaves are oval to elongated, and slightly glossy, with light to medium blue flowers.

The clone illustrated as the feature photo above is Str. ionanthus ssp. rupicolus cl. Cha Simba, with the clone name from a nearby location in Kenya. It was exhibited at the 2013 convention show of The Gesneriad Society.
