Location Madagacascar: The members of this section are restricted to Madagascar, where they grow in the south easterly tropical rainforest areas. They possess numerous tiny cup-shaped flowers borne on large inflorescences. They are large-leaved and woody herbaceous shrubs reaching up to one metre in height, very atypical for Streptocarpus and likely not suitable as houseplants. They may have limited value in gardens but would require warm temperate to subtropical temperatures.
