The former Saintipaulia dilotricha was moved within Saintpaulia ionanthus ssp. ionanthus as variety diplotrichus during the great reshuffle of Saintpaulia species as described by Dr. Jeff Smith in our Saintpaulia article. The photo above is of a plant that is ascribed no clone name, although a multitude of clones have been identified, each having subtle but significant differences.

Str. ionanthus ssp. ionanthus var. diplotrichus is a variant of the original African Violet characterized by by pale blue/purple, almost white, flowers. The several identified clones include the Punter series, and others.
