Streptocarpus ionanthus ssp. pendulus var. Kizarae, illustrated in the feature photo above, is one of the most desirable of the species in Section Saintpaulia. It forms a fairly compact trailing plant quite readily. The flowers on cl. Kizarae are fairly large and showy, and a clear blue color with just a tint of lavender; other examples of this sub-species can be darker with a bit more purple in the flower. The feature photo above is of a plant grown in a display glasshouse in Japan.
