Drymonia killippi is an interesting plant with large (for a Drymonia) flowers encased in a leafy green calyx. This species has a very restricted distribution in the lowlands of the Colombian Pacific rainforest.

One of the most interesting aspects of this species is the reddish or purplish corolla limb and the lime-like fragrance of the flowers.
