Kohleria ‘Connecticut Belle’ is an older cultivar, with very lovely flowers. These are characterized by darker-colored upper lobes, with fine spots in lines throughout the corolla. It was the first gesneriad I (RM) grew back in the 1970s, and it made a powerful impression on me.
It’s a medium-tall grower, and the stems are not super strong, so it can sometimes flop a bit. Still an excellent hybrid, thoroughly competitive with others more modern.
