Exhibited at the Gesneriad Society’s 2018 convention show. A flower close-up can be seen here. This is a small plant, able to grow to full blooming size within a 3″ pot.

This wonderful modern hybrid is a cross between a “standard” S. speciosa hybrid and a complex hybrid involving S. guttataS. ‘Ozark Scentimental Journey”. While it is therefore a mixture of species, and not a “pure” S. speciosa hybrid, it has the appearance of a small hybrid within that group.

It may not be the first use of S. guttata as a contributor to the speciosa-like cultivars; some experts believe S. guttata is the source of the spotting often seen in S. speciosa hybrids.
