Streptocarpus ulugurensis was described only in 2009; it is a rare and threatened species growing in limited areas in the Uluguru Mountains of Tanzania. The beautiful flowers and attractive large leaves might make it a prize attraction in cultivation, but it’s cultural requirements may be difficult. It is not yet in general cultivation, although it has been grown at the Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh.
