Saintpaulia watkinsii is a diminutive plant that forms mutliple crowns, and in fact features occasionally trailing/creeping stems reminiscent of caulescent species of Streptocarpus in subgenus Streptocarpella. It is found in very limited locations in the mountains of Eastern Tanzania, and is likely highly threatened in the wild. While it has been grown in cultivation at the Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh, it does not appear to have made its way to hobbyist cultivation.
This is a small plant, with the total size of the specimen featured above about 15 cm (6 inches) across. The individual leaves are tiny.
