Exhibited at the 2025 convention show of The Gesneriad Society, this older hybrid by Dr.Hans Wiehler can grow quite large. The bright flowers and bright red markings on the underside of the leaves make it an attractive plant.

There are a number of Nematanthus species and hybrids with pendant flowers, including an even older hybrid Nematanthus ‘Stoplight’ and the species N. corticola, N. crassifolius, N. fritschii and N. brasiliensis.
