Sinningia ‘Cindy-ella’ is the tetraploid form of the hybrid S. ‘Cindy’, a cross between S. eumorpha and S. concinna. The eumorpha parent was likely a form with lines or spotted lines in the throat, as the more randomly distributed spots of concinna have become spotted lines in the hybrid.
This was a very important hybrid, and contributed to the development of the many miniature Sinningias we see in cultivation now.
